Dear broken-hearted one,
Dear broken-hearted one,I’ve been there, in fact, I’m right there with you. I know it feels heavy. I know it feels almost impossible to imagine things looking up, but they will. Here are some important truths that I have collected along the way that I hope you will cling to :You are not alone. You are seen. You are valued. In case you need to hear it again... you are NOT ALONE... you ARE SEEN... you ARE VALUED. You value has not, does not, and will never decrease based on someone else’s inability to see your worth. You are worthy of a love that never makes you question your value. ever. This too shall pass. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to cry. It’s okay to cry. You are beautiful. The best is yet to come. Your best days are ahead of you, not behind you. I know it feels like your world is over, but hear me when I say your story has only just begun.PLEASE don’t let anger and/or bitterness consume you. You are far better than that. Let grace flood your heart. Forgive them, even if they didn’t say sorry. It takes courage, but it changes everything.Don’t isolate yourself. There are more people for you than against you. Reach out to those who love you & those you trust. You do not and should not believe everything you think and/or hear. (This one is REALLY important). It’s okay if you need to distance yourself from certain people / places to create a safer environment for your heart to heal. Your heart WILL heal, even though it feels like it’s shattered into 1 million tiny pieces - I’m learning that God does His best work with a broken heart, light will shine bright through the cracks.I know it’s not what you want to hear, but I’m going to say it because you need to hear it, this is a precious and rare opportunity to focus on YOU!!! Victory is on the other side of the depths of this hurt. Your pain is not in vain.God hears your prayers, the ones your pray laying in bed at night as tears roll down your face asking Him why. I would be willing to bet that He is singing over you right now “if only you knew what I had in store.” Your feelings are valid, but don't get stuck in them. Beauty will arise from these ashes if you'll trade them in- there is a far greater blessing wrapped up in this mess.Did I mention you’re not alone?<3 Maddie Joy"He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." / Psalm 147:3
